The Caper – October 2021 Edition

Fall has arrived in Cape St. Claire. Driving down College Parkway will become quite a sight over the next week or so. Enjoy it while you can as Winter is Coming.

We haven’t gotten rid of the event cancelling stench that is COVID. Some events are still happening though and we’re excited about all of the Halloween events coming this month. On October 23rd from 10am to 3pm, Halloween Happenings will return down at the clubhouse corral. All proceeds will go toward My Brother’s Pantry. Admission to the event is $5 per child and the donation of non-perishable food items. Advanced registration is required. Then, on October 28th at 5:30pm at the Cape Shopping Center, we will be trick or treating. It will go until the candy is gone so come early! More information on these great events is in this month’s Caper.

In community group news, The Cape Community Swap will be held on Sunday October 10th from 10am to 2pm down at the Cape clubhouse field. TONIGHT, the garden club will host renowned speaker Dan Benarcik of Chanticleer at Bay Head Park Pavilion, on Design Principles of the Pros applied to the Home Landscape. Don’t forget that Cape Conservation Corps has their Wednesday Weed Warriors every Wednesday down at the Serene Ravine from 5:00 – 7:00pm.

See you around the Cape!
