The Caper – July/August 2022 Edition

July is upon us which means another amazingly successful Strawberry Festival and July 4th parade and activities has passed. In his message, Beau thanks Mary Lamb for her tireless efforts in making the Strawberry Festival the best it can be. There are many challenges facing the board this year, amongst them are the countless business activities and the Board of Governors shortage. Beau is hoping to fill a few positions for the new year. For more details, please check out this month’s Caper. Don’t forget to join the Quarterly meeting coming up on July 26th at 7:30 at the clubhouse.

In Ryan’s Town Manager message, he reminds everyone to be kind and respectful to the awesome beach attendants. To keep the community safe and to enforce beach rules, attendants are stationed at beach properties and the boat ramp area. Please be prepared to give your name and address to attendants. If you are renting, be prepared to state your landlord’s last name as well. More tips and boat ramp safety tips, please see his message on page 3.

In community news, Goshen Farm has been hosting their summer concert series. Coming up is 3 Jerk Reaction/Diana Flynn on July 22nd and on August 12th will be the Biondi Family Band/Dirk and the Truth. Don’t forget to check them out!

The Garden Club always takes July and August off for their regular meetings but will be resuming on Tuesday September 7th with their popular Members Sharing Slideshow. Check out this month’s Caper for more details.

Cape Conservation Corps has their Native Plant Fest & Sale coming up on September 17th from 9-noon at the Cape Clubhouse field. In this month’s Caper, Stacey has a great write up on milkweeds for the iconic monarch butterfly, check it out!

There’s also more information on the 2023 Calendar Photo Contest. The photo submission deadline is Thursday October 6th, 2022. A $100 cash prize will also be awarded. Please check this month’s Caper for more information on how to submit your photo.
