The Caper – June 2022 Edition

It’s Strawberry Festival Eve, which means only one thing, it’s party time in the Cape. Tomorrow, June 4th is going to be a spectacular day. More information on this year’s event can be found at their website as well as on Facebook.

Beau’s Presidential message lets you know that the beach attendants will be limited on the weekends until school gets out. Please be respectful of them as they are there to make sure our residents and guests have a fun and safe time at the beaches and parks. On May 12th, CSCIA had the opportunity to host Peter Franchot, the Comptroller of Maryland, at the Main Beach. Peter and his staff wanted the chance to have an official visit for one of the projects he had voted on in the last few years on the Board of Public Works. More information on this and other Cape things are in Beau’s message.

In the Town Manager message, Ryan celebrates passing the 4 year mark and thanks all of the wonderful residents. You should’ve received your sticker now and wants to make sure you’ve added them to your cars. Don’t forget that the next Quarterly Membership meeting will be held on Tuesday July 26th at 7:30pm at the clubhouse

In community news, Goshen Farm will be holding their first concert on Friday June 17th at 6:30pm. This is a free event but donations are appreciated. More details on this event and other Goshen Farm activities can be found in this month’s Caper.

The Garden Club will be doing their secret garden tours on June 11th where they will be visiting 3-4 beautiful and inspiring Cape gardens. More information on their upcoming events and how to get involved with the Garden club can be found in this month’s Caper.

Cape Conservation Corps welcomes you to their weekly Weed Warriors at Little Magothy Beach. Email [email protected] to sign up. Their native plant sale will be on September 17th from 9-noon at the field behind the clubhouse so mark your calendars!

Details on the July 4th parade and celebration are in this Caper. Parade will start from the CSC Fire Department at 10:00am. More information and a float entry form can be found in this Caper.

See you tomorrow at the Strawberry Festival!
