Trick or Treat at the Shopping Center

halloween nightOn Thursday, October 30th 2014, join your friends and neighbors as they dress up and trick-or-treat at the Cape St. Claire shopping center. Trick-or-treating will begin at 5:30pm and last until 6:30pm or until the candy is gone! Look for the signs in the windows of the local merchants to identify those participating. As always, do not forget to say THANK YOU!

Cape St. Claire Road Widening and Water Main Installation – UPDATE July 3rd

UPDATE July 3rd – Due to an issue with one of the environmental permits, the work has been delayed by approximately 10 weeks. The permitting issue has been resolved and the Contractor is scheduled to begin on July 14th.


Anne Arundel County will widen CSC road between Woodland Circle and Hilltop Drive. The project is to begin in late March. Included are the addition of shoulders, curb and gutter, and storm drainage. A 5-foot wide sidewalk will be added on the eastern side of Cape Saint Claire Road and an 8-foot wide hiker-biker trail will be added on the west side. The hiker-biker trail will connect with the Cross-County Connector Trail to the south. The traffic signal at the fire station will be upgraded, and provisions for a future signal will be provided at the intersection of Cape Saint Claire Road and Hilltop Road. The signal is not included in this project.

2014 Strawberry Festival is Saturday June 7th from 10 am to 7 pm at the Main Beach

Parade Kicks off the Day’s events at 10:00 AM from the Cape St Claire Volunteer Fire Department!!!!

As a Cape St. Claire resident you quickly realize that summer begins with the Strawberry Festival.  This age old event seems to become more and more popular each year.  A day filled with a Parade, Music (7 Bands), Food, Games, Crafters, Contest, Pony Rides, K9 demos, a Silent Auction and Strawberries in many forms, is on tap for this year’s festivities.

We are so excited to bring back our newest features to the festival this year.  We will have the traditional Moon Bounces, an Obstacle Course, Pony Rides in the Corral, Face Painting, a Coloring Contest, Dunk Booth, Soak –a – Scout, Sand Art, Bike Demo, K-9 Demo, Martial Arts Demo, Dance Demo, Games, Pizza, Pit Beef, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Snow Balls, Smoothies, Strawberry Baked Goods Contest, Strawberry Jam/Jelly Contest, THE BEER GARDEN, Decorated Bikes, Berriest Baby, and the Princess Contest.

Cape Cleanup in June

On Friday, June 27th & Saturday, June 28th at the Corner of Broadview and Cape St. Claire Road 

Anne Arundel County Waste Management has graciously offered Cape Residents a weekend in June for our 2014 Clean-Up. The Clean-UP will begin as soon as the County arrives on Friday (before Noon). We will make every effort to operate the Clean-Up until 4:30 PM on Friday, space permitting. On Saturday the Clean-up will begin at 7:30 AM and continue until approximately 2:00 PM, space permitting. In an effort to protect our environment and dispose of our trash properly, Anne Arundel County will be providing the clean-up with cans for recycling and 2 on-site Anne Arundel County Employees to assist the residents with the proper disposal of their TRASH. When you arrive at the clean-up you will be asked to dispose of your TRASH in the proper cans. Please keep this in mind as you load your vehicles. Try to keep your recyclables together (Glass, Cardboard, Paper, Metals etc…).

The following is a list of unacceptable materials:

  • Junk Automobiles
  • Trailers
  • Gas and Propone Tanks
  • Tree Trunks
  • Oil Drums or Tanks
  • Liquids
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Boats
  • Tires
  • Logs
  • Paints
  • Refrigerators
  • Air Conditioners
